About Me

A little bit about me

Hello I’m Jenie and I am a fully qualified KG Hypnobirthing practitioner, birth and postnatal doula. I am also a mummy to two gorgeous little girls who I birthed using hypnobirthing.

My Story:  When I found out I was pregnant for the first time I found that everyone had a horror story to tell me about how awful and painful it was going to be bringing my little girl into the world. I decided to look into my options and I came across hypnobirthing.

Was I sceptical at first that it could be a positive experience given what so many people had told me? Yes, of course I was!

I went to lots of antenatal classes, read books on hypnobirthing and practiced at home.

Throughout the later stages of pregnancy, I started to feel confident that I could do this and that it could be a wonderful and empowering experience. When I went into labour I put all my practice to the test and birthed my little girl in a calm and relaxed environment in a birthing pool. It really was a magical experience; I feel like I proved that it didn’t have to be a horrible experience.

So the second time around I was obviously going to Hypnobirth!  I still did all the preparation I could just like I suggest in the courses but this time I opted for a home birth.  It was wonderful and I will be writing up my birth story soon so stay tuned!

I want to help other mummies be to have a positive experience of birthing their baby so they can look back on the time feeling positive and empowered.

I am based in Southport but cover South Lancashire and Merseyside.  I offer private hypnobirthing courses in the comfort of your own home and group hypnobirthing courses and The Massage Therapy Rooms by Aimee in Birkdale.

I also offer pregnancy relaxation courses and stand alone sessions at Massage Therapy Rooms by Aimee, Birkdale as well as various workshops throughout the year.

I have a passion for helping families achieve a positive birth experience and offer support as a birth and postnatal doula (bump, birth and beyond support).

I have completed the full KG Hypnobirthing Practitioner training which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives and I am a member of the Hypnobirthing Association which is FEDANT (Federation of Antenatal Educators) approved.  I have completed the Developing Doulas Birth and Postnatal course and am a mentored doula working  towards becoming a Recognised Doula with Doula UK.

I have also completed multiple Rebozo training courses, Closing the Bones and attended the Aromatherapy in Childbirth course which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.  I am also a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter for Breastfeeding Support Sefton.

In addition to this I have also trained with Hands on Babies which is also accredited by the Royal Collage of Midwives to offer Baby Massage classes and in April I will also be training in Baby Yoga which is also accredited by the RCM.
